Basic Outline for Children's Church

*Please be in the classroom before the children come down from church. Have the hymn for the day playing softly and meet the kids at the door. Before they come into the room, please discuss the importance of coming before God in a respectful manner. Talk to them about how our classroom is where we will be meeting with God and learning about how to know Him better, and that it is kind of like the sanctuary for the time we are meeting for Children's Church.

*Escort the kids into the worship area and begin the (very very condensed!) worship time

*Worship time: (10-20 minutes)
    -pass the peace
    -call to worship
    -hymn
    -prayer for illumination
    -very short message
    -joys and concerns (also invite them to add their prayers to the prayer wall at the end of CC)
    -prayer of confession
    -offering
    -hymn (same hymn both times)

*Activity time (20-30 minutes)
   - I will try to include a number of choices for activities for each weeks lesson, however, if you have an activity that you think would work, please feel free to use it instead (and maybe we can add it to this site!)

*please try to keep the age groups together as much as possible. There will be at least one helper each week, so if you need to separate the ages/abilities, that will be possible. Our group is likely to start off pretty small, but hopefully we will grow in time and may need to split into groups at some point (lets pray for that to happen!)
