We will be encouraging the kids to participate and to work together through a simple incentive program this year. The kids will earn "Faith Points" and when the class as a whole has earned 200 points we will have a pizza and movie night for them and their families. Please be diligent about awarding points so that we can use this to really encourage them. The more they work together and the more they participate, the more meaningful this experience will be for each of them.
Points are awarded as follows...
*Memorize a Bible verse (and know the address) ->3 points
*Bring your Bible to class -> 2 points
*Bring a friend -> 2 points
*Volunteer in class (teacher's discretion) -> 1 point
*Help someone -> 1 point
*Complete and bring back a Bible page or activity -> 1 point
I will leave it up to the teachers to award points for other things. This can be a useful tool, especially if we have a child who has trouble with something, like sitting still... it can be a motivational tool to help them try harder. We will NOT be taking away points for poor behavior (not that anyone would do that, but thought I would mention it!)
